Screen saver is not working because it is not enabled in Display.
Cause:
The screen saver has not been selected.
Solution:
Enable the screen saver, using the 'Screen Saver' properties tabbed page in Display.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'Display' icon. (The 'Display Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Screen Saver' tab. (The 'Screen Saver' tabbed page appears.)
5) Select the desired screen saver from the 'Screen Saver' drop-down list box. (An example of the selected screen saver appears in the video display.)

6) (Optional) Change the settings for the screen saver:
NOTE: Not all screen savers can be customized.
a) Click 'Settings...' to customize the screen-saver settings. (The 'Screen Saver Properties' dialog box appears.)
b) Make the desired changes.
c) Click 'OK'.
7) (Optional) Enable password protection:
a) Select the 'Password protected' check box in the 'Screen Saver' group:
b) Click 'Change...'. (The 'Change Password' dialog box appears.)

c) Type a password in the 'New password' box.
d) Retype the password in the 'Confirm new password' box.
e) Click 'OK'.
8) Click 'Apply' and click 'OK'.
